Post-Arrival Timeline

Overview

Once you arrive on campus, you will probably be a little busy over the first few days before the semester officially begins! The following timeline should give you a basic idea of what the semester will look like once you arrive.

PCR Test and PCR TEST RESULT REGISTRATION

Within 24 hours of arrival, you must get a PCR test at a local Health Office (with your passport as your ID) .
Then, register your results with Q-Code (see below).
This is likley to change (i.e., be removed) by February, 2023 - please simply check these requirements close to your travel dates.

Campus/Dormitory Check In

- Seoul Campus : Wednesday, August 24 – Thursday, August 25, 2022 (No early check-in; this is early check in!)
- Global Campus : Thursday, August 25 - Friday, August 26, 2022 (No early check-in; this is early check in!)

New Student Orientation

- Seoul Campus

Spring Semester Start

- First day of classes: Thursday, March 2, 2023.
- Register for courses (2^nd round): Thursday, March 2 - Wednesday , March 8, 2023 (Register online and/or request professor approval to register in person for graduate-level, major-restricted, or full courses) (Registration excludes the weekend).
- Last chance to drop a class: March 20 - 24
- Pay the dormitory fee for GlobeeDorm and International Houses (Seoul Campus students) or HUFS Dorm (Global Campus Students) by wire transfer (our campus bank can "wire" cash to HUFS if you intend to bring cash for payment) by the end of the first week of the semester.
- Make an appointment to apply for your ARC Card at http://www.hikorea.go.kr, or use our Visa Agency Service that will come to Seoul Campus on select days-their fee is 20,000 KRW in addition to the regular application fee of 30,000 KRW.

Intensive Korean Level Test*

*Only for students taking the Intensive Korean Program

- Level Test: TBD (KST) (10:00 a.m. ~ : Interview / 1:00 p.m. ~ : Writing Test) ※ Schedule is subject to change.
- The Language Center will email you information about how/when to take the Level Test online.
- Intensive Program Start/end: March 6th, 2023 - May 18th, 2023

Semester End

- Final Exams: June 15 - 21 (excluding the weekend)
- Dormitory Check out (For students staying only for one semester/going home for vacation)
  - June 21 (GlobeeDorm : until 12:00 Only!!)

International Summer Session (ISS)

- Program Dates: July 15 - August 13, 2023 (TBD)
