New Exchange Student Orientation

The New Student Orientation is for all incoming non-degree international students (exchange, visiting) and will include registering for a Korean bank account and receiving important information related to living and studying in Korea at HUFS. Attendance is mandatory, so make sure that you arrive in Seoul in time to attend! It starts at 13:30 but it's a good idea to arrive around 13:00.

3 Things to Bring

1. Copy of your health insurance policy

Please write your name and HUFS ID at the top of the policy. If you are not using health insurance from your home country, we will give you instructions on how to apply for local insurance during the orientation. Health insurance is required for all students at HUFS.

2. Extra copies of your passport pages**

    • **Only if you plan to open a Korean bank account!

    • You will have a chance to meet with Wooribank staff at the end of the orientation.

    • Scholarship winners must open a Korean bank account.

3. A notebook and pen/pencil for taking notes!

Yes, you can take pictures of the screen of course! But not every piece of information is printed in the slides - so be sure to bring a way to takes notes as well :-).
